Since the summer of 2020, once happy families have fractured, friendships have shattered, and many who know better have severed the ties that bind on the altar of a new kind of social justice most of us don’t really understand.

Countless are convinced that common sense is a product of a dominant–and domineering–white Western culture, rendering it the grandfather of all social oppression. Once persuaded, we betray what we know deep-down to be true in favor of a promised future of liberation culminating after white people have fully redistributed their unearned privilege, privately-owned property, and unfairly gained prosperity to the black and brown people from whom they are accused of stealing it centuries ago.
